About Michael Ha
The study and practice of martial arts has been a passion for Michael for more than 30 years, starting at age 6 with his training in Tae Kwon Do. He has since trained with numerous master instructors in a wide range of martial arts disciplines, including Kali/Escrima, Pencak Silat, Tang Soo Do, Hwa Rang Do, Savate, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Gung-Fu, and Jeet Kune Do.
Sifu (teacher) Michael hopes to inspire and share his passion and knowledge with his students so that they will find the study of martial arts to be as rewarding for them as it has been for him.
He is available for individual and group lessons in Los Angeles and the South Bay area as well as seminars abroad.

What is Jeet Kune Do?
Translated Jeet Kune Do means "Way Of The Intercepting Fist". However, this answer only scratches the surface. In the words of the founder himself:
"Jeet Kune Do is training and discipline toward the ultimate reality in combat. The ultimate reality is the returning to one’s primary freedom, which is simple, direct and non-classical.
When he has reached maturity in this art, one will have the formless form. It is like the dissolving of a thawing ice into water that can shape itself to any structure. When one has no form, one can be all forms, when one has no style, he can fit in with any style."
-Bruce Lee
As has been expressed to me by my teachers, at its core, JKD is about simplicity, efficiency, and adaptability. JKD is an art that is a fusion of both explosive and dynamic physical movements encompassing all ranges of combat, and philosophies that unite these movements with the mind and spirit.
